Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and how you can control them.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and session state across page loads. SMARTCHAINE AI uses a minimal set of cookies required to operate the platform.

2. Cookies We Use

We use the following categories of cookies:

EssentialAuthentication Cookies

Set by Supabase Auth when you log in. These cookies store your session token and are required to keep you signed in. They are deleted when you sign out or when the session expires (default: 7 days). Cookie name: sb-[project-ref]-auth-token.

FunctionalLanguage Preference

Stored in localStorage (not a cookie), this saves your selected language (EN, FR, or ES) across sessions. It is purely local to your device and never sent to our servers.

AnalyticsPerformance Monitoring

We may use privacy-first analytics (no personal data collected, no cross-site tracking) to understand aggregate usage patterns such as page views and feature adoption. If added, this will be disclosed here.

3. Cookies We Do NOT Use

SMARTCHAINE AI does not use:

  • Third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • Social media tracking pixels.
  • Cross-site behavioral tracking.
  • Fingerprinting technologies.

4. How to Control Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Block cookies: Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.
  • Delete cookies: You can delete existing cookies at any time from your browser settings.
  • Incognito/Private mode: Cookies set during a private session are deleted when you close the browser.

For instructions specific to your browser, visit your browser's help documentation.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove features. Changes will be reflected with an updated date above. For questions, see our Contact page.
