We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use our services:

• Account data: Email address, name, and authentication credentials (managed via Supabase Auth).
• Usage data: AI generation history, credit balance, and tool usage patterns.
• Generated content: Images and thumbnails you create are stored in our cloud infrastructure.
• Payment data: Payment information is processed by our payment provider and never stored on our servers.

We also collect certain data automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, and access logs for security and analytics purposes.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the SMARTCHAINE AI platform.
• Process your credit purchases and track your balance.
• Store your AI-generated images and make them accessible from your History dashboard.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts).
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your generated images to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We share data with third-party providers solely to operate our service:

• Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage. Data is stored in EU/US regions.
• fal.ai: AI inference provider. Image generation prompts are transmitted to their API to produce results.
• Vercel: Hosting and edge network infrastructure.

All providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable law.

We retain your account data and generated images for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Generated images that have been shared via public URL may remain cached in our CDN for up to 7 days after deletion.

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).
• Withdraw consent at any time.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, row-level security (RLS) on all database tables, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify registered users via email. Your continued use of SMARTCHAINE AI after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
